At Fly-By-Night Drones, we believe in flying for good. With over eight years of professional drone experience across Canada, the United States, and internationally, we specialize in using advanced aerial and thermal drone technology to support search and rescue operations, animal studies, and community-focused initiatives.

We work alongside ground teams to enhance situational awareness during search and rescue efforts, assist in locating missing persons and pets, and support wildlife and animal research through safe, non-intrusive aerial observation. Our operations are guided by a commitment to safety, precision, and ethical drone use, ensuring that every mission contributes meaningful, actionable insights.

Wildlife Detection & Monitoring

When a pet goes missing, every hour matters. Fly-By-Night Drones offers volunteer drone search assistance to help families locate lost pets in Calgary and surrounding communities.

Using aerial and thermal imaging capabilities, we can assist with searching areas that may be difficult to cover effectively from the ground.

There is no required fee for this service. Our goal is simply to help reunite lost pets with their families.

If you would like to support our work, voluntary donations are gratefully accepted. Donations help offset operating costs and allow Fly-By-Night Drones to continue providing pet search assistance to others in our community.

Lost Pet Search & Recovery

Using thermal drones to help search and rescue teams quickly and safely locate missing people by providing real-time aerial and thermal views, improving response times when every moment counts.

Using thermal drones, we support wildlife and livestock detection and monitoring by identifying animal heat signatures with minimal disturbance to their natural habitat.

Equipment

We fly the DJI Matrice 4T, a powerful platform equipped with high-resolution thermal and visual imaging capabilities—ideal for critical missions such as search and rescue, heat loss detection, wildlife spotting, and environmental monitoring.
